BOING! BOING! BOING!

Watch on your mobile device >>

Is this what riding in your car feels like?  It might be time to get your shocks and struts inspected.  Most of us will never really know if we need new shocks and struts.  That’s because they wear out so gradually, that you never really notice the difference in your ride or in the handling of your vehicle.  But as our customers tell us, you really feel the difference when you have new ones.

A general rule is that if you have 50,000 miles on your vehicle and haven’t had them replaced, you should at least get them inspected.  Another way is to start asking yourself these questions:

1. Do you hear a squeaking noise as you drive over rough surfaces?  A worn strut’s inner mechanisms will start to squeak as they move up and down the strut body.

2. Does the nose of your vehicle dip when braking?  Worn struts cause the momentum of your vehicle to keep going when you stop, putting extra load on your brakes, causing them to wear out faster.

3. Do you have weird tire wear?  Struts are made to keep your tires in contact with the road.  Worn struts will allow your vehicle to bounce off the road ever so slightly, causing your tires to show cupping.

4. Does your car feel mushy when turning a corner?  Worn struts will make your once great handling around the curves feel like you’re driving a freight truck.

So now’s a great time to get your shocks and struts tested.  We’re offering a ‘Buy 3, Get the 4th FREE’ deal from now until the end of May.  Take it 2 the House!
